This blog was created as a requirement for a Critical Literacy Special Topics course at AU and I hope to make it a fun permanent addition journaling my struggles, successes, and ideas about education and life as a teacher.

MF what stands out for me in your podcast is the way in which you have taken critical literacy as a framework and shaped it specifically with your students in mind. That is powerful stuff, not always easy to do but you've made it your own...wonderful!
I also very much appreciate the way that you have used various design tools to negotiate and convey meaning in both your teaching and in your own learning. That too is powerful and such a wonderful demonstration for your students.
You've lived this critical literacy course to the fullest and it shows in the work you have produced. Your passion, enthusiasm and commitment to helping kids be the best they can be are so evident!
